Medicare has 2 main ways to get your medical coverage. There is the original Medicare which includes Part A and Part B or the Medicare Advantage Plan, which is Part C.
The Original Medicare Plan includes hospital insurance (Part A) and Medical Insurance (Part B) which is covered by Medicare. You will have the choice of providers that accept medicare, doctors, hospitals and other providers.
You will usually pay the monthly premium for Part B. There are deductibles and supplemental coverage that help pay deductibles and coinsurance.
For comprehensive medical coverage, many people should consider the Medicare Advantage Plans. Known as Part C, they are much like an HMO or PPO. These plans include both hospital and medical insurance (Parts A and B). This insurance is provided by private insurance companies that are Medicare approved. You may need to use plan approved doctors, hospitals and other providers or you will pay more or all of the costs.
Prescription and Supplemental coverages are also options to consider when deciding which plan is right for you. It’s not too late to find the right plan! Contact Putnam Record Insurance Agency today to enroll!
